Fife & Drum Muster and Soldiers' Field Day

Come celebrate the 200th anniversary at Fort George. This weekend-long
event is a pageant of military music by Fife and Drum corps from the United
States and Canada as well as a competition of 1812 drill teams from Fort
George, Fort Malden, Fort York and Fort Erie – a collection of the premier
1812 military sites in Ontario.


During this 14th year of the annual Muster and Field Day event, the 41st
Regiment Fife and Drum corps will also be celebrating their 25th
anniversary at Fort George. Come and experience the sights and sounds of
the military garrison during the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.

2:00 – FIREPOWER Demonstration – A mass Musket and Cannon firing
demonstration by Drill Squads from Forts across Ontario
2:30 – Musical Performance of the 78th Frasier Highlanders from the Halifax
Citadel
3:00 – MASS MUSIC performance from Fife and Drum Corps from across North
America
3:30 – Firing Elimination – A test of who can load and fire a musket the
fastest between soldiers from Forts across Ontario
4:00 – Flag Lowering

7:30 MUSKET AND MUSIC SUNSET TAPTOO – All Participants reform for a show
Music, Pageantry and Military Precision drill of both Cannon and Musket
firings
