Date: July 6, 2012
Time: 05:30 PM to 10:00 PM

Celebrating two centuries of peace with our Canadian neighbors and to honor the sacrifice and memory of the soldiers who fought this war, the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy will host a day of commemoration with representatives of both nations, the Seneca Nation of Indians, veteran groups, a concert by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Frontier Skydivers and a spectacular display of fireworks as the evening’s finale.

Bring your friends, your family and a lawn chair, and enjoy a day of celebration of 200 years of peace. Food and beer will be available for sale.

As part of this anniversary, the BOPC will plant 300 trees in Delaware Park to honor the 300 soldiers buried in the meadow. If you are interested in being part of this commemoration sponsoring one of these trees, email olga@bfloparks.org for details.

BRING YOUR OWN LAWN CHAIRS.
