Sunday’s preview one of just four before PBS airing
A historic battle that took place in Niagara’s own backyard will be on the big screen at Brock this weekend. |
“This film will certainly spark that 1812 interest when it airs nationwide, as well,” he said. The two-hour film, which combines the visuals of dramatic re-enactments and vivid animation, along with expert interviews from Niagara historians, authors and professors was entirely filmed in the Niagara region. The Brock screening is open to the public. Tickets cost $10 and are available through the Centre for the Arts’ Box Office in person or by calling 905-688-5550, ext. 3257. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.discover1812.com for pickup at the box office on the day of the event. The screening will be followed by a wine tasting of Palatine Hills Estate’s new 1812 vintages. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the film begins at 2.
