1812 symposium in NOTL Nov. 17

Interested in learning more about the War of 1812 Bicentennial? An upcoming symposium will give history lovers the chance to hear about all things 1812-related.

Taking place on Nov. 17, the one-day symposium will feature a discussion by world-renowned author and War of 1812 historian Dr. Donald Hickey on “What We Know that Ain’t So: Myths of the War of 1812.” Parks Canada historian Ron Dale and Niagara Historical Society and Museum curator Sarah Maloney will also speak at the event, set to take place inside the Courthouse on Queen Street from 1-4 p.m.

Tickets are $10 each and light refreshments will be served.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Hickey at a reception following his talk. Tickets for the reception are $20.
