Celebrate the first official event of the bicentennial in the Niagara Region! Welcome the New Year, pledge allegiance to our Sovereign, and raise a toast to the continued prosperity of our nation. Meet the Honourable Lieutenant Governor, David C. Onley in the Officer’s quarters.
There will be ceremonial cannon salutes by the Fort George Artillery and music by the Fort George Fife and Drum Corps. There will be a cannon salute at 3:00 p.m. and exchange between Fort George and Old Fort Niagara (NY).
Everyone is welcome, free of charge. Dress accordingly, as it is a semi-outdoors event– snow or shine! Refreshments will be served.
